Information about the service fee

Incurring fee in the amount of €20
You have returned the VAG_Rad improperly. A service fee of €20 per rental is due for this. This fee does not apply to the first improper return. Please note that in case of repetition, the fee of €20 will apply automatically. You can see the final charges for your rentals in your rental history in the NürnbergMOBIL app.

You can still avoid the fee if you returned the bike incorrectly by mistake: Go back to the bike, rent it again, and return it to a station or the flexzone. Contact us immediately by phone at +49 (0) 911 283-2453 or report the issue via the app using the “Report a problem” option. We are happy to waive the service fee in this case.
This does not apply if you have ended the rental outside our operating area to run an errand and plan to use the bike again later. In this case, you are required to use the parking mode.

What return options are available with VAG_Rad?

At stations
You can return the VAG_Rad in Nuremberg, Fürth, Erlangen, and Schwabach at any official station. The stations are partially virtual, i.e., marked with large markers on the map, but there are no station signs on site.
The VAG_eRad must be returned at a station. Each VAG_LastenRad is assigned to a home station and must be returned there. The station is printed on the box of the respective VAG_LastenRad.

Within the flexzone
You can also return the VAG_Rad on any public street within our flexzone.
The VAG_eRad must be returned exclusively at stations and the VAG_LastenRad exclusively at its respective home station.

Away from stations and the flexzone
VAG_Rad, VAG_eRad, and VAG_LastenRad may only be parked at official stations or within the flexzone. For improper returns, a fee of at least €20 will be charged automatically.

Incorrect charges? What now?
Due to slight GPS deviations, you may be charged a fee for improper return even if you parked the bike at a station. No problem. Contact our hotline at +49 (0) 911 283-2453 or report the issue via the app with your registered mobile number, bike number, and a brief description of the situation. We will review your information and refund the fee in the event of an incorrect charge.
